Description:

SCUR (Script Creation Utility for Resonite) is a proof of concept for a visual interface that enables the creation of nested dialogue trees in Resonite without requiring ProtoFlux. The name and concept are inspired by SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion), the scripting system used by LucasArts (Lucasfilm Games). It was originally created for Maniac Mansion (1987) and was later used in other classics such as The Secret of Monkey Island (1990), Day of the Tentacle (1993), and Full Throttle (1995). The interface can be accessed in Edit Mode. - Each dialogue step contains text and may optionally reference an AudioClip. - Each dialogue can offer multiple choices for the user to select. - Each choice advances to a different dialogue step or returns to the first step, effectively forming a state machine. - Each transition can also trigger a DynamicImpulse to control additional behavior in the environment, NPCs, or any other external system.
