Description:
The Deutschlandring (also Großdeutschlandring) near Hohnstein near Dresden was a motorsport racetrack project during the Third Reich. Due to the outbreak of the Second World War, the circuit was never used for motorsport. On April 26, 1939, the Deutschlandring was ceremoniously inaugurated. According to the plan, there was to be space for up to one million spectators with parking facilities for 250,000 Volkswagens.
